Well, basically I've been looking at the site for years and decided to post some of my various writing montages over the years.

A bit about myself
Though I find profiles in which people spill their guts out in a messy
manner as disgusting as a bowel patient with GI bloody pus problems we
had on the hospital ward a while back, I figure I should probably write
one at some point (he got better so I don't feel guilty using that
simile. It's too bad there isn't any type of treatment for the former.)
In any case, I'm 17 and go to York High School--A small public school on the East Coast of Virginia. I'm happy to finally be a senior, and I plan to major in Biology at whatever college I get into before moving on to either pre-med or a PHD.In addition, I've recently discovered myself to be one of those masochistic cross-country addicts (they really need a CCA--cross country anonymous not the toxic chemical that they coat our decks with). I like dark chocolate, tiramisu, really strong coffee, languages, writing, and my awesome friends.
If you want, IM me at drowdalharil (don't ask. I've had that screenname
since 7th grade.)

Well, then about my writing--If you're still reading this I'm throughly impressed.

I've been reading fantasy literature since some unsuspecting passerby dropped Lord of the Rings in my lap in 3rd grade. Thus, my first writing attempts were naturally inclined towards the sci-fi-novel realm. For a while, I had two novels going (and still have them on my computer). However, after reading nearly the entire fantasy collection at Barnes and Nobles, I realized that the inspired, controversial spirit that instigated fantasy literature has largely flown out of it, leaving only the remnants of cliche heros, the odd battle scene, and steamy romance. In short, by reading one or two of the better series, one might have read the entire section (here I beg the forgiveness of anyone I offend, author or reader. It is not that I think the genre bad--I did read quite a bit of it--but that I feel it has lost its avante garde quality that made it so intriguing). Having been largely disillusioned to the section as a whole, my writing temporarily ceased. Then came the years of essays for classes, analyzing the significance of the waterbeatle on page 412 in the symbolism of.....You know, that kind. Ninth and tenth grade refined my writing tendencies, always inclined towards the morbid and unusual, as I finally found authors who I admired and found at least moderately original (though this may change, two of my current favorites are Gregory MacGuire, Salman Rushdie, and Neil Gaiman).

In any case, I do hope you don't waste more time reading this and actually look at one of my stories. I have tried to make them dissimilar enough to where reading one will not be reading all. I appreciate all feedback, negative or positive. However, I would also hope the reader would endeavor to restrain him/herself in regards to uneducated "leet" or internet speech, lack of grammar, and etc. and etc. Please remember the difference between flaming and criticism. You may malign my writing all you like, but don't make yourself look like the proverbial donkey in doing so. My ego isn't that fragile, so go for it.

Flaming: y0r stry SUCKKKKSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wth I don't lik3 g3t it lmfao yo lamzor noob

Educated criticism: I thought that your overuse of graphic elements detracted from the meaning of the story. In addition, the sentence structure lacks refinement, harkening greatly to the debacles of Singing Videos on YouTube or such.

People think it's all about misery and desperation and death and all that shite, which is not to be ignored, but what they forget is the pleasure of it.
